Privacy policy
Last updated 21 October 2026
Riftdoku is a logic puzzle game for Android, developed and published by Martín Freire ("I", "me"), based in Spain, who is the data controller. This policy explains what data the game and this website handle and why. Contact: martin@lionspath.consulting.
No account, nothing you type
The game has no sign-up and no login. It never asks for your name, contacts, location or photos. The only thing you can choose to type is an optional email address in the feedback form, described below.
Data kept on your device
Your progress, settings, hints and purchases are saved on your device. You can erase them at any time in Settings > Delete all data, or by uninstalling the game.
Google Play Games (optional)
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your progress (solved cases, grades, achievements and game settings) is saved to your Google account so you can continue on another phone, and achievements appear in Play Games. Google handles this under its own policy. I never see your Google account details.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows an ad when you leave a solved case, and offers optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for a reward. Buying Remove ads turns all of them off.
Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with the ad. Google uses this to serve, measure and, with your consent, personalise ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and in US states that require it, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before ads are requested. You can change your choice later in Settings > Privacy, and reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases (Google Play)
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play. I never see your payment details. The game only receives a purchase confirmation so it can unlock what you bought. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Gameplay statistics (off unless you turn them on)
The first time you open the game it asks once whether you want to share anonymous usage data. Nothing is pre-selected, and closing the question counts as no. If, and only if, you say yes (or later switch on Settings > Privacy > Share anonymous usage data), the game sends gameplay events such as "case started", "case solved" and "hint used" to PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the European Union.
Each event carries a random id created on your device, the game version and your device's operating system. It contains no name, no email and no advertising ID, and is not used for advertising. It helps me find cases that are too hard and screens that confuse people. Switching the option off stops sending and deletes any events not yet sent.
Feedback you send
If you use Send feedback or Report a problem, the message you write is sent to PostHog (EU) so I can read it, together with the email address you choose to give (optional, used only to reply) and, if you leave Include device details ticked, your device model, operating system, language, screen size and game version. Feedback is kept only as long as I need it to deal with your message.
This website
riftdoku.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers, so there is no cookie banner. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time to run and protect the site.
Legal bases
- Consent: gameplay statistics and personalised ads. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
- Performance of a contract: delivering what you buy.
- Legitimate interest: reading and answering feedback you choose to send, and keeping this website secure.
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. It does so under its own safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port personal data relating to you, or object to its use. Because the game keeps no account and the statistics carry no identifier that links them to you, the data I hold usually cannot be traced back to a person. To delete feedback you sent, write to martin@lionspath.consulting with the text of your message. For data held by Google, use Google's own tools and the policies linked above.
If you think your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or the authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
Google Play Juegos (opcional)
